Day at the Park

Yesterday I took the boys to the park here in delaware. It was so much fun watching them play. There are two huge playsets for them. We spent the first half at the play part of the park. We decided to have lunch at a picnic table under a tree. While we were eating, I noticed a path that led down the hill into the trees. There was a sign that showed hiking and fishing. The boys and I decided we wanted to go for a walk on it and see where it led. There were huge hills and lots of trees. It was a walking path. Since the park is next to a dam, there was water at the end of the path. It was really neat to see the dam up close. The boys had lots of fun throwing rocks in the water. There was a spot where they could go down and play in the leaves and get close to the water. We spent alot of time over there. Edward loved going on the bumpy rocks in the stroller. He loves going in Ryans stroller. It is a bigger stroller for older babies. I think it may be time to upgrade soon. On our way back to the van, the boys collected as many sticks as they could. They were so tired when we finally got back to the van. On our way home nate said " i dont want to go home yet". So we stopped at Blue Limestone park a.k.a. "flinstone park" lol. While I was getting Edward out of the van, I heard two ladies start to laugh. When I turned around to see what they were looking at, I saw nate and Ryan peeing on the same tree in the middle of the park! lol I could not believe it. After thet we came home and relaxed for a while untill dad came home. We had alot of fun! I was happy to see the boys getting out and doing "boy" things. ok, maybe not he peeing on the tree in the park thing, but everything else was so much fun!

The Wiesner Kids

Today The kids and I went over to Megan's house for lunch. We had alot of fun. I loved Watching Aric wrestle with the boys. It was so funny.Megan showed me how to do pictures the right way on my blog and we had pizza! It was a great day at work! I am a nanny for a family with 3 kids. There is Nate, 4 years old, ryan, 2 years old, and leah,6 years old. I mostly just have the boys though because leah is in school. It is fun watching the boys and i love watching my son grow with them. Ryan has grown to love Edward and gets mad at me if I do not bring him! lol. Nate likes him, but doesnt really care much. He is at that age where he has better things to do than watch a baby! lol. Nate loves to do laundry. He seems so domestic. He loves to clean, cook, do laundry and HATES to get messy! lol. Ryan is the complete opposite. He loves to get messy, likes to cook, but not as much a nate, and does not like to do laundry. When I told nate we were going over to "mimi"s" house (Megan), I told him that she was washing her bedding. He proceeded to say "SHEETS" in a very excited voice. I think it is funny that he didnt care about going to megans but that he wanted to do her laundry. What a silly kid. We had a blast though. They were great today. Megan wanted me to bring them over. She was the nanny for them before I started. That is how i got to know her. It is great having someone that I have so much in common with and that lives in Delaware near me. I didnt really know anyone here in delaware before we moved here. I have gotten to know some people and it is much nicer now.

our photo shoot

This past month, Zach and I took edward out to Highbanks Park. We wanted some good pictures of him with zach and I. They turned out alot better than i thought they would. I realy llike the new camera zach has. I think he is excited to start a Photography buisness. He is realy good! We got some good ones of edward smiling in a tree. He did so well. He got a little fuss in the end, but we were out there for about 5 hours. So I think he earned a right to be cranky after all that. We walked all around the park finding good spots. I thought it was neat because if you go down one of the paths, you can head off of the big trail onto a small one and it leads to where a riverbank. Its very shallow and it would be perfect for edward to play in when he gets a little bigger. It was so quiet and pretty. I think zach and I are going to take him back there next year and have a picnic and let him play in the water. There were other people down there so we know that it is allowed! Im so excited for what is to come. I love being able to do things with Edward for the first time. It was his first time seeing any water like that and when we showed him the water he smiled! It was so warm that day! I could not believe that it got that hot. I almost wanted to jump in the water myself! lol We had so much fun and I'm glad that we got such great photos!

Trick-or-Treat!

Trick or Treat everybody!

Today was Edwards first time going trick or treat. He went as Winnie the Pooh. He was so adorable. We went to my moms neighborhood. We had a big group of our family that went with us. It was so much fun watching all of the young kids together. I think it is so wonderful that Edward will have so many kids around his age to play with. I am also glad that he is so close to his family. I am so happy because I never had that when I was growing up. We went all around the block. It got pretty cold after a bit so I put him in the stroller and covered him up. When we got back to my moms house, we went through the candy and edward and i shared a sucker! He loved it! he got all stickey and messy. I cant wait till next year when he will be able to enjoy it.

A day of not much to do!

Today we found ourselves with not much to do. We layed around the house for most of the morning. It was nice since we are about to move on the 20th of November. Life has been pretty busey lately. So we took the opportunity to go and play around town. We went shopping art Kroger, and we really like the kroger by where we are moving! soooo much nicer! Then we went to Cord Camera and looked at cases for zachs camera and some scrapbooking stuff for me. Then we went to wallmart and looked at stuff. When we got home edward was in a funny mood. He thought EVERYTHING was funny! You could be talking to someone else and he would start laughing! He has the cutest laugh. It almost sounds like he is trying to catch his breath but he is smiling. We put my hat on him and he thought it was silly. I geave him tape to play with too, but he was not sure what to do with that. He looked at it so seriously. lol. I love these moments with my family. I probly love it so much because a day of nothing to do does not happen very often. It makes me so happy to see my son so happy. Everytime he smiles, he gives me a warm feeling and I realize how blessed I am to have such a wonderfull family! Tomorrow is Trick-or-Treat night. Edward is going as Whinnie the Pooh Bear. We decided we are going to go to my moms neighborhood. We have other family there and it seems like a good neighborhood to go around.  I cant wait to see him in his Costume.

Carving Pumpkins!

This past Wednesday we carved pumpkins for the first time with Edward. We thought he would hate it, though he did very well. We let him touch the inside and he was very focused on it! He tried eating the goop, and thought it tasted pretty good on his hands. Zach did the carving and Edward and I did the removing of the inside. We made sure to keep the seeds because we dried them out and baked them for Grandma. She loves pumpkin seeds and has not had them in a long time. In a nut shell, I think the first pumpkin for Edward went very well. Next year I want to take him to a pumpkin patch. He will be a year old by then and should be walking. If he continues standing like he has, he will be walking by 6 months! lol. Maybe not, but who knows.
